ANNUAL FUNCTION 2020 TIA KARNAPRAYAG

The Indian Academy, Karnaprayag celebrated its first annual function on 23rd February 2020. The theme of the programme was ‘Back To Home’. The school aims to minimize migration from the hilly areas. We desire that the people, who have migrated to cities for providing modern education to their children, return to their roots and get modern and quality education here itself.

The event included engrossing art and craft work by the students, colourful dances and beautiful acts. Each and every student from UKG to Class VII participated and performed gracefully. The chief guest on this occasion was Shri Chandi Prasad Bhatt, an environmentalist, Padma shri, Padma Bhushan and Gandhi Peace prize awardee.The guest of honour was Mr. Tajbar Singh Aswal, Block Education Officer, Karnaprayag. The annual report was presented by the Headmistress, Ms Geeta Khanduri in which she mentioned about various activities and competitions held in the school like story telling competition, Elocution competition, Debate competition, Paragraph writing competitions, calligraphy competition, Recitation competition, festivals’  celebration, celebration of special days in the assembly etc. and familiarized the parents and other several special guests of the growth and continuous efforts of the school with the aim of providing quality education to the children in rural areas.

The students gave marvelous performances and were highly  appreciated by the guests for their industrious performances. Also the efforts of the teachers who prepared them to present themselves in a confident manner was recognized and respected by all.

On this occasion, the Principal of The Indian Academy Dehradun , Ms Neelam Sharma addressed the gathering and talked about the importance of teachers in our society.

Mementos were presented to all the guests by the  director of the school Mr. Munendra Khanduri.  The chief guest Mr. Bhatt ji requested everyone to plant trees and keep the environment green .He appreciated the efforts of our honourable director sir for taking the initiative of reducing  migration from hills . Our guest of honour also praised the efforts of the students , the entire staff and the management  for their endeavour.
