The two days -23rd and 24th November 2019, this calendar year was indeed were very eventful and amazingly happening at the Indian Academy Dehradun as the school celebrated its 10th Annual function with a lot of fanfare.

The function stretched over two days. On Saturday 23rd November the junior school hosted ‘VIBRANCE’, a variety entertainment programme involving all the students from classes’ playgroup to V. The Chief guest on this occasion was R.O CBSE Mr. Ranber Singh and the guest of honor was famous music director Dr. Madhuri Barthwal, who were welcomed by director Mr. Munendra Khanduri and the Principal Ms. Neelam Sharma. Headmistress Mrs. Shuchi Mamgain presented annual Report of the junior wing and showed the spectacular kaleidoscope of various activities including festivals, various competitions, presentations, theme-based learning, etc.

The little perfomers’ displayed a variety of Indian and International dances which were accompanied by a spectacular Taekwondo display. The program was light and sound show and was thoroughly enjoyed by the guests as well as the audience. The chief guest and the guest of honor praised all the performers and the school staff for presenting a wonderful program that showcased the students’ talent and also sent a message into the society against the use of single-use of plastic. Both the special guest congratulated the school for the grand show.

On Sunday 24th November 2019 the students from classes VI TO XII presented a string of dances and acts in a program named ‘NAVRAS’ The Nine Emotions- Adbhut, Vatsalya, Srinagar, Radura, Veer Ras, etc. were depicted through a variety of colorful dances and meaningful acts. Principal Ms. Neelam Sharma presented the Annual Report in which she mentioned about all the activities like cleanliness drive, Hindi Pakhwada,Road safety week, Disaster Management activities, Street Play in Kidduwala Village on “Jal Hi Jeevan Hai” the village adopted by the school, Investiture ceremony, Special days celebration Earth Day, Haemophilia Day, Mothers Day and winners of state and national level of different competitions were mentioned. CBSE Workshops attended by the teachers were told.

The show was directed by Mr. Jagmohan Sehgal and Shivani Sehgal and the choreographer for navras was Ms. Chandani Rawat, the dance teacher of the Indian Academy, several beautiful dances depicted the incidence from Lord Krishna’s life. The Highlights of the show was the IMA act that depicted the lives of the Army Trainees. It was a well synchronized mega event attended by the chief guest Shri Harish Rawat (EX CM U.K) and the guest of Honour R.O CBSE Mr. Ranber Singh and the Eminent Neurosurgeon Dr. Mahesh Kuriyal.
Class XII toppers Atul Nautiyal, Abhas Malguri, Ritika Bahuguna, and class X toppers Abhishek Rana Agrima Chauhan Mansi Bahuguna Ritika Semwal Anirudh Gautam and Upasana Sharma were honored with scholarship by the school. Teacher Kiran Raturi, Deepa Bisht honored by the best teacher’s awards and Ms. Swati Juyal and Ms. Manvi Gulati with Appreciation award by Mr. Harish Rawat ji and Mr. Ranber Singh ji

School Management honored Headmistress Ms. Shuchi Mamgain teacher Manisha Semwal, Lalita Rawat & Aya’s Nisha Saxena and Poonam for their 10 years of laborious services.

All the special guests praised the herculean efforts of the school staff that has organized and executed the entire light and sound show and appreciated the school and the staff in grooming the personalities of the students in a holistic manner.
On this occasion, the director Mr. Munendra Khanduri presented Mementos to the entire guest. The entire guest addressed the audience- parents and insisted on the importance of parents giving valuable time to their wards every day. And Mr. Ranber Singh specially requested parents to keep their ward away from electronic gadgets especially mobile phones.
