INTER SCHOOL SAHODAYA SANSKRIT SHLOKA PRESENTATION

 सह नाववतु ।सह नौ भुनक्तु ।सह वीर्यं करवावहै ।तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै 

 शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः

Sanskrit is considered to be the mother of all languages. In Uttarakhand, the government is trying to take all possible steps to propagate the language as all the ancient texts of India are written in Sanskrit. Studies have found that Sanskrit would be the future language as it is the language most suited to the computers.

The Indian Academy always lays emphasis on keeping the Indian culture alive among the students hence an Inter school Sahodaya Sanskrit Shloka Presentation was organized in the school premises on 31st July 2018.  A total of nine schools participated in this event. The chief guest for the day was Prof. L. Malguri who was welcomed by the director, The Indian Academy. The participants were welcomed and informed about the rules of the events.

All the schools including The Indian Academy gave wonderful presentations in costumes, with the use of props, instruments etc. to make the presentation impressive. All the schools present were offered a participation certificate. The event and the efforts made by the school to take this initiative were appreciated by the guest Prof. L. Malguri. He shared his knowledge and told us about the Shlokas’ of Mahabharata, Ramayana and Bhagwat Gita along with their meaning and significance. He emphasized on keeping the culture alive by promoting the importance of Sanskrit language and ended his speech with the Shloka सर्वे भवन्तु सुखिनः सर्वे सन्तु निरामयाः | सर्वे भद्राणि पश्यन्तु, मा कश्चिद् दुःखभाग भवेत् I
