THE GRAND ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2018

The Grand Annual Exhibition (Science and Art & Craft) of The Indian Academy was held on 24th November 2018. The objective of the exhibition was to promote interest in Science & Technology of the students and providing exploratory experiences, encouraging creative thinking and promoting psychomotor skills among students through self-designed models and simple apparatus.

The chief guest for the event was Honorable Mr Prakash Pant, Finance minister of Uttarakhand. The Guest of Honour was Mr Bharat Chaudhary, Vidhayak, Rudraprayag.

Mr Prakash Pant inaugurated the event and commenced the exhibition. He began with visiting Art & craft exhibits and pottery corner. He was enthralled to see middle school students doing such excellent work and highly appreciated them. Our chief guest along with other special guests then visited the Science exhibition where the students displayed their models and delivered the explanation in an impressive way.

The Principal, Ms Neelam Sharma, presented the “Annual report” in detail about various activities, competitions and celebrations held in school premises during the year 2018. The teachers were appreciated for guiding the students throughout the year to perform so well. The best teacher’s award was bagged by “Ms Alpana Khanduri” and “Ms Anupama Chaudhary secured The Appreciation award for the academic year 2018-19.

Mr Prakash Pant addressed the audience and motivated the students to enhance their creative thinking and innovative ideas which would further help to uplift the nation and its pride.

Thereafter, the meritorious students of batch 2017-18 were felicitated for their outstanding performance in board exams, by the Director of The Indian Academy along with the Principal and Headmistress. Ranjan Kumar of VIII standard and Pushkar of class XI were acknowledged as “Budding Scientists” of the year 2018 for their indefatigable efforts and were felicitated by our special guest, Pandi Kothiyal Ji.

Vivekananda House bagged the “Best House” trophy this year for their persistence and exceptional performance throughout the year.

The following exhibits of Annual Grand Exhibition were awarded:
o The Best Still model- Sewage System
o The Best Working model- Smart city
o The Best class craft work- Fish out of water & Wallhangings, Class VII A

Parents appreciated the efforts of the school for enhancing the knowledge of the students with the help of practical implementation of the concepts learned in the classroom in the form of the exhibition, where students displayed their knowledge and showcased their creativity.

The event concluded with a thanksgiving ceremony and a vote of thanks by the Headmistress, Ms Shuchi Mamgain.
